Malaika Adero, founder and director of Up South, Inc., is Vice President and Senior Editor of Atria Books, author of Up South: Stories, Studies, and Letters of This Century’s African American Migrations, and coauthor of Speak, So You Can Speak Again: The Life of Zora Neale Hurston. Her poetry and essays have been widely anthologized in publications, including Mending the World, edited by Rosemary Robotham and Black Southern Voices by John O. Killens.
